Common questions
Is Quirky Drawer free? How do I unlock all the drawers?
The app is free to use, with drawers 5 and 8 available for free. You can also turn drawer 8 into a password vault in Settings.
A one-time in-app purchase unlocks the other drawers, giving you access to all 12. This is a non-consumable purchase, with no subscription.
How do I restore my purchase? What if the unlock price is missing?
Use the Apple Account you originally purchased with, then select “Restore Purchases” on the unlock page.
Apple supplies the unlock price. If the price is temporarily unavailable, check the unlock page again later. The amount shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation is the actual price.
What if I forget my vault passphrase?
The password vault encrypts its contents locally on your device with AES-GCM, using a passphrase you choose that is at least 8 characters long. Face ID or Touch ID is optional. The developer cannot recover your passphrase or decrypt the vault for you. Restoring the vault from a backup still requires the original passphrase.
Keep your passphrase somewhere safe. Regular notes, tasks, and links are not protected by vault encryption, and the app does not autofill passwords on websites.
How do I back up my data or move it to another device?
You can manually export a backup in Settings, then restore it from a file in Settings on another device. The app does not automatically sync data between devices.
Restoring replaces the data already on the device, so back up anything you want to keep first. If the backup includes a password vault, you will need its original passphrase to restore it.
How do I claim free capsule draws and bonus tickets?
You get one free capsule draw per day. The 20 welcome tickets must be claimed manually. Reaching a 7-, 14-, or 30-day streak lets you manually claim 7, 14, or 30 tickets respectively, once for each reward. There are no other streak milestone rewards, and free tickets cannot be purchased.
Missing a day resets your streak, but rewards you have already qualified for remain available to claim later.
How do I change the language? Will my content be translated too?
In Settings, you can choose Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, or Korean. This changes the app’s interface text. Content you enter and custom labels stay in their original language and are not automatically translated.
